The premium smartphone market (Rs 30,000-plus smartphone segment) in India has got a new leader, OnePlus. As per Counterpoint Research's latest report, OnePlus surpassed Samsung to lead the premium smartphone segment for the first time ever (for full quarter) during the second quarter of the year 2018. The strong sales of its flagship OnePlus 6 smartphone, which was launched during the quarter, helped it gain the top spot.
