Government may offer up to Rs 2.5 lakh subsidy for 60,000 e-cars

The Cabinet is likely to take up this proposal as part of the second phase of Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid & Electric Vehicles) India (FAME) scheme on Thursday.
