Facebook's cryptocurrency ambitions face privacy concerns, political backlash

To facilitate transactions, Facebook created Calibra, a subsidiary that will offer digital wallets to save, send and spend Libras. Calibra will be connected to Facebook messaging platforms Messenger and WhatsApp.
