Through its official Twitter account, the company announced that it is adding the support to allow users to mute their audio or video when they are hosting a Live. Instagram spokesperson said that this support will provide the “hosts more flexibility during their livestream experiences, as they can decrease the pressure to look or sound a certain way while broadcasting live,” which is similar to the functionality Clubhouse offers.
