Smartphone shipments worldwide grew 27 percent on a year-on-year basis in the first quarter of 2021, as per a report by Canalys. The market research firm said that smartphone vendors shipped a total of 347 million smartphones. The growth has been attributed to regions like Europe that are recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic.
