Volkswagen, which is working at turning around its operations locally, said demand for sedans was subdued the last few years due to lack of new models. With the launch of VW Virtus and Skoda Slavia, the company expects sales in the midsize sedan segment to expand more than 50% to 140,000-150,000 units in 2022.
