Luxury carmaker Lexus is planning to enter the used car business in India as part of a structured pre-owned car programme. The Japanese automaker, which already has 23 touchpoints across the country, will select some outlets after analysing the business viability of the dealer partner. Additionally, the luxury car brand is anticipating its first electric vehicle to be available by 2025 as it aims to go fully electric by 2035. Lexus India President Naveen Soni also noted that 2023 will be the best year for the nation's luxury car segment, surpassing its peak in 2018.
