Tata Electronics Pvt Ltd (TEPL) has acquired a 60 percent controlling stake in Pegatron's India unit. Pegatron India, a subsidiary of Taiwan's Pegatron Corporation, provides contract-based electronics manufacturing services (EMS) to major global companies such as Apple.
