SMIC Has Had 'Preliminary Exchanges' With US Over Export Restrictions, Company Says

Chinese chipmaker Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC) has undertaken "preliminary exchanges" with the US Bureau of Industry and Security regarding export restrictions, the company said on Sunday in a filing.
