Passenger vehicle sales in India declined for the second consecutive month in August due to a high base and manufacturers reducing dispatches to balance dealership stock. About 350,000-355,000 vehicles were dispatched, marking a 1.7-3% drop from August 2023. Carmakers are hopeful for strong demand during the upcoming festive season.
