Tesla's entry will help grow EV market in India, not worried about competition: BMW

BMW Group India remains optimistic about the EV market, viewing Tesla’s entry as a growth catalyst. CEO Vikram Pawah says competition boosts demand. BMW sold 646 EVs in Q1 2025 and aims for 15% of total sales from EVs this year, a target it expects to exceed. Globally, BMW saw 13.5% BEV sales growth in 2024.
