As automakers differ, global CAFE sops could benefit small cars in India

India is reviewing global incentives for small cars under fuel efficiency norms, inspired by the US, China, EU, Japan, and South Korea. This comes amid a domestic debate between Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors regarding proposed weight-based concessions for smaller vehicles in upcoming CAFE 3 regulations, set to take effect next year.
