Nissan mulls shutting two plants in Japan, considers halting production plants in India too

Nissan is reportedly planning to shut down two car assembly plants in Japan and considering closing two factories in Mexico as part of a restructuring effort. The automaker aims to reduce its workforce by around 15% and decrease production plants globally. These potential closures mark Nissan's first domestic plant shutdowns since 2001.
