Passenger vehicle sales likely to grow 1-4% this fiscal: ICRA

ICRA expects India’s domestic passenger vehicle industry to grow 1–4% in FY25 despite a 1.1% contraction in April–July, citing high inventory and a strong base. SUV demand remains a key driver, with utility vehicles forming 65–66% of sales. GST slab reforms, new model launches, and festive season demand may aid growth, while exports rose 9% in July.
