Car sales in India fell for the fourth consecutive month in August, with 321,840 vehicles dispatched, down 8.8% from last year, as manufacturers adjusted shipments ahead of revised GST rates. Three-wheeler and two-wheeler sales rose 8.3% and 7.1% respectively. Industry leaders expect GST reductions to boost demand during the upcoming festive season.
