Shailesh Chandra, President of SIAM, has been elected as the new President of OICA, effective November 1, 2025, marking the first time an Indian leads the global automotive industry body. Chandra, a leader at Tata Motors, emphasized OICA's critical role in navigating the industry's transition towards sustainable and Net Zero mobility. Hildegard Müller of VDA was elected Vice President.
